Active Citizenship Gala – A celebration of civic implication and alternative education

A celebration of civic implication and alternative education November 17. Children run up and down the stairs, impatient to finish the final repetition before the arrival of almost 200 guests. Many of them already met the kids while volunteering in the Alternative Education Club – people from embassies, ministries and other public institutions, as well as from NGOs and from the community in Ferentari.

Famous football players and artists against racism and violence

The second friendly football match” Love Football, No Racism, No Violence” organized by Policy Center for Roma and Minorities, The Romanian Football Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs took place at the Romanian National Team training center at Mogosoaia -Bucharest. The match is part of a series of games which aims at raising awareness with regard to racism, discrimination and violence on football stadiums. Policy Center for Roma and Minorities nominated twice at the Romanian PR Award

The ninth edition of the Romanian PR Award presented last week the campaigns nominated in the 24 contest sections. The project submitted by our organization was among the 72 nominated projects from a total 212 campaigns, which helped Policy Center for Roma and Minorities receive an important recognition from an international jury with 38 members from the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, Holland and Romania.

Photo exhibition – Beyond the ghetto

Policy Center for Roma and Minorities and the National Council for Combating Discrimination invite you to the first photo-voice exhibition of the children from the Alternative Education Club. The exhibition „Beyond the ghetto” will take place on Friday, October 21, at 17:00 at Casa de Cultură a Studenților.
