Policy Center for Roma and Minorities organized the debate “Roma ghettoes – between economic migration and criminality” at School 136 in Bucharest. The goal of the debate was to encourage an open discussion on issues like poverty, active inclusion, good governance and changing negative attitudes.
Representatives from the embassies of Netherlands, Norway, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Finland and UK, and representatives of the Romanian Government were present at the event and expressed their opinions under the Chatham House rules.
The School 136 hosts the Alternative Education Club, one of our organization’s initiatives that aims to support children living in the worst ghetto in Bucharest, to develop through non-formal education.
