Mrs Anca Harasim, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce Romania, was our guest, for a debate on “Ethics in the Business Corporate Environment”.
Members of our organization and other young professionals discussed several issues related to business ethics like business models adopted in politics and businesses, government efficiency, corruption, equality, CSR, ethic conduct and it’s long term effects in effective management.
Paul Olteanu, from “Mai Mult Verde” raised the interesting issue of what results are obtained through CSR practices, besides the well known and somewhat controversial effects in marketing and general promotion of the company. Also Florin Manole, a representative from “Rețeaua Națională a Tinerilor Romi” was interested in knowing how businesses can address social issues in their community, as a means to avoid economical collapse generated by bursting social tensions.
At the end of the debate, Mrs Anca Harasim stated that she supports the ethic business model to be adopted in politics also and advised that social problems be addressed in a timely manner by businesses to achieve a greater social stability.
