Objectives:
  • Encouraging a positive relationship between 15 Roma and non-Roma mothers from the community of
    Ferentari and the children from the Alternative Education Club, in order to make them become
    positive role models for the children, in the struggle to break the vicious circle of
    marginalization through education and active citizenship
  • Stimulating the civic participation of 15 Roma and non-Roma mothers from the community in order for
    them to become positive role models for the entire community
  • Changing negative attitudes towards the Roma minority
Results:
  • 15 Roma and non-Roma mothers from the community have acquired parental education knowledge skills
  • 15 Roma and non-Roma mothers from the community have acquired skills in community
    development/organization and will become more active in identifying solutions for the problems and
    issues within the community
  • 15 Roma and non-Roma mothers from the community have become active citizens of the through solving a
    problem identified in the community
  • 15 Roma and non-Roma mothers from the community have gained more self-esteem and trust they can
    change their own status and the children’s status as well
  • 15 Roma and non-Roma mothers from the community have maximized their abilities to identify and
    obtain jobs
  • 100 Roma and non-Roma children from the Alternative Education Clubs from elementary schools no.136
    and no.2 have acquired knowledge and skills in health education
  • 20 Roma and non-Roma children from the Alternative Education Clubs from elementary schools no.136
    and no.2 have acquired basic knowledge in Romanian Language and Mathematics
